S ince its first appearance in Alexander McQueen ’s Irere Collection back in 2003 , the iconic skull scarf has become a signature item in the fashion piercings house’s piercings accessory range. To celebrate its 10th anniversary , Alexander McQueen has invited British artist Damien Hirst to create piercings a new scarf collection, available both in McQueen boutiques and at AlexanderMcQueen.com from 15 November 2013 . The common ground between McQueen and Hirst - apart from both having a long creative career full of delicious controversy and radical thinking- was found in a shared aesthetic vision which combines symmetrical design with ‘‘strong references to the natural world.’’ The anniversary scarf collection consists of 30 one-off designs featuring piercings various insects that together form McQueen’s signature skull shape. The designs themselves were adapted from Hirst ’s ‘‘ Entomology ’’ paintings piercings (2009-2012) in which the artist used insect patterns piercings to create colourful kaleidoscopic images.
The release of the anniversary scarf collection is accompanied by a short film created by Sølve Sundsbø , an established fashion photographer piercings and film maker based in London. In the film, female figures move in slow motion like mysterious sea animals or butterflies, wearing dresses decorated with patterns from the Alexander McQueen & Damien Hirst scarf collection.
[YatzerTip]: Don’t piercings forget Damien Hirst’s major retrospective in Doha , Qatar! Titled ‘‘ Relics ,’’ it is the largest exhibition of Hirst ’s work to date, on display until 22 January 2014 at AL RIWAQ DOHA Exhibition Space .

A Good Sign That Steve McQueen Will Be The First Black Director elizabeth to Win Oscar
Yesterday, Steve McQueen was named Best Director by the New York Film Critics Circle for 12 Years a Slave , and while that doesn’t make him a lock for the Oscar, the group’s track record of matching Academy choices is a good sign that he’ll become the first black director ever to win the coveted statuette. In the past 10 years, the NYFCC has differed from the final Oscar pick 4 times (in 2003 when they picked Sofia Coppola, 2008 when they picked Mike Leigh, 2010 when they picked David Fincher and 2012 when they picked elizabeth Kathryn Bigelow).
Of course, John Singleton elizabeth became elizabeth the first black director to be nominated for an Oscar in 1991 with Boyz n the Hood (as well as the youngest director ever nominated at 24), and Lee Daniels was nominated in 2009 for Precious , but no black director has yet won the big prize. However, last year saw T.J. Miller become the first black director to win in the Best Documentary Feature category elizabeth for Undefeated .
So this NYFCC win is intrinsically great for McQueen (a talent elizabeth who deserves as much recognition as possible), and it’s also a good signpost, but we’ll have to wait for the Directors Guild’s awards to get an even stronger indication of his chances. That august body has matched the Oscar pick 9 times in the past 10 years (mismatching last year with Ben Affleck as their choice), so if McQueen wins there, he’s practically a sure thing to make history. elizabeth

"Why do I know about Anne Frank and not Solomon Northup?" So queried Steve McQueen during AFI Fest's "On Directing: A Conversation with Steve McQueen," Sunday night's 45-minute Q&A between the director behind "12 Years a Slave" and moderator Brickson Diamond, Board Chair of the Blackhouse Foundation. Held in the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, McQueen spoke primarily about his latest bioderma film while touching bioderma on a few of his own personal goals and beginnings. McQueen was welcomed by a patient (the program began 30 minutes behind schedule with many fans standing for more than an hour in line) and enthusiastic crowd who gave him a standing ovation upon his introduction. The following are the evening's highlights:
After McQueen graciously thanked the audience for their warm reception ("My heart is big and swollen. Thank you very much."), moderator Brickson Diamond wasted no time digging into the director's roots. McQueen bioderma said he began his artistic career by drawing. "For me, I was very lucky I could draw. From a very young age, I could draw and through that sort of evolution from painting to cinema...it was just that kind of procession." He said he discovered film around the age of 17 and spent much of his free time in theaters watching the classics. "It gave me the opportunity to view the world," McQueen said.
"I had this idea of a free man from the North who was dragged into slavery, and we the audience follow him as he tries to regain his freedom," McQueen said when discussing the film's origins. That script "wasn't going so well" and McQueen's wife suggested he look into true accounts of slavery for help. He found "12 Years a Slave" and became obsessed. bioderma "When I read it, it was, of course, a revelation for me because I didn't know Solomon Northup. I was asking bioderma myself, 'Why?' I was quite embarrassed and thought I was quite stupid. Then I realized no one I knew was aware of this book." McQueen began the adaptation process, and the rest is history--both America's and cinema's.
McQueen became convinced of the story's historical significance quickly. "The whole idea of Anne Frank and Anne Frank's diary was so huge. It was required reading while I was in England. It upset me in the way, 'How did I know Anne Frank but I didn't know Solomon Northup?' I read '12 Years a Slave' and thought, 'This is the Anne Frank diary of America.'" At the end of the evening, McQueen said his main goal for the film was to get the novel into the national curriculum. "This has to be in the national curriculum. It's a non-brainer. That will be the legacy of Solomon Northup."
Diamond asked McQueen about the conversation he wanted to start when he chose to make "12 Years a Slave" as well as whether or not what he's actually been speaking about varies from the original goal at all. "This is not a passive movie," McQueen said. "It is a kind of call to arms, if only to call a friend to say that you are okay." Diamond mentioned how some white audiences might be too uncomfortable to watch the film, whether it be out of embarrassment or a conscious choice to avoid the subject. "It's part of history, and it's their history, too," McQueen said. "It's not exclusively black. The most interesting aspect is if you look at Solomon Northup's current bioderma family. There w

It seems appropriate that I call Katy England as she travels between Paris, where she consults for Riccardo Tisci on Givenchy menswear, and Kate Moss s Cotswolds hideaway, victoria beckham where she is working victoria beckham on the model s spring victoria beckham range for Topshop.
Former fashion director at Dazed & Confused victoria beckham and AnOther magazine, England has worked with the leading minds in the business, including photographer Nick Knight and designers such as Tom Ford. Her highest-profile collaboration was with the late Alexander McQueen, with whom she worked as stylist, muse and confidante. They met in 1994 and, for 13 years, they shredded the rulebooks.
It was England s ability to mix couture and street style, beauty and death, fantasy and earthy victoria beckham reality that inspired victoria beckham McQueen victoria beckham and still keeps her at the top of her game. Katy brings a rock n roll factor to what she does, says Knight. A mix of energy, darkness and sexualised sensuality.
Now, England has produced a fashion short for British car firm Vauxhall, victoria beckham her first foray into film and first solo venture. To have a project that is entirely my vision, victoria beckham to have it all handed to me and to be told You can do what you want, was amazing, says England. The only brief from Vauxhall was the film should celebrate British youth culture in some way. Katy England with husband Bobby Gillespie, Primal Scream’s frontman (Picture: supplied)
So victoria beckham what has the woman behind some of fashion s most seminal catwalk moments including McQueen s Robots from 1999, in which model Shalom Harlow was sprayed by giant robot arms come up with? Made In England is a six-minute road movie, scored by England s husband, Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie, in which an anonymous driver victoria beckham encounters diverse victoria beckham subcultures, from club kids to BMX riders and girls on the cusp of womanhood.
The mood is dreamy and contemplative and, although there is plenty of it, it s not just about fashion, more a paean to youth. I went back to when I was an adolescent, says England, when I was going to concerts, obsessed with fashion victoria beckham and feeling like part of a gang. I wanted to depict that.
Ordinary people have often found their way into an England shoot. She turned to Facebook to find her young stars. I met these incredibly interesting kids who are quite leftfield, she says. Their music world informs their fashion world. I wanted to go with what they were about rather victoria beckham than just giving them a fashion look. I tried to let it all come from them.
As to those who say fashion films could replace runway shows, England is unconvinced. You walk into a space where a catwalk show is and you feel an atmosphere, victoria beckham she says. You re instantly conjuring up an emotion. Every stage of the fashion presentation is a real experience victoria beckham and I don t know how you can match that.
Of fashion in general, England is feeling positive, even exhilarated. victoria beckham It was exciting this season, she says. I felt there was a change of mood in the air, as if designers were coming out of being safe. She says Paris s most memorable show Rick Owens s bombastic S/S14 presentation featuring a lively women s step team was something victoria beckham that reminded her of the best of McQueen s creativity.
England s most commercial project to date is her collaboration with Kate Moss on the supermodel s successful Topshop range. After a three-year hiatus, the pair are set to launch a collection next spring.
When we did it the first time round, we did a lot of pieces, says England. It was about Kate s wardrobe, the occasions where she wears these clothes and the exoticness victoria beckham of her lifestyle but it lost its moment. Now it feels exciting again. Kate s recreating her favourite stuff. And we re putting in a lot of details. There s not a price constraint like we had before. It s about making every garment a special victoria beckham piece.
England is happy to be working with Moss again. I love working with her. And she s really good at designing, she laughs, pre-empting questions on the knotty relationship between modelling and making clothes. She s incredibly knowledgeable about how a garment should fit.
Kate has been working with the world s top designers for 20 years, victoria beckham which is more than a lot of people in the fashion industry. And she s so charismatic, and special. That s why she is where she is today. It s her personality, as well as her beauty and her talent.
We re pretty sure the lovefest is mutual and that the Kate Moss for Topshop collections may well not have captured the zeitgeist victoria beckham so effectively had it not been for England s t

6 Filmmaking Tips from Steve McQueen
Watching Hunger for the first time is not an experience that I ll soon forget. British video artist mullet -turned-director mullet Steve McQueen imbued this vision of the 1981 IRA hunger strike with such a potent visceral mullet sense, with such a rich and detailed tapestry of sound and image, that watching it is truly a corporeal endurance test of stark immediacy. McQueen s approach didn t require traditional methods of character identification and narrative pathos he simply used the reality of shared flesh and blood to connect the viewer mullet with the events depicted onscreen. The result of McQueen s efforts carries mullet a profoundly haunting, mullet disturbing, and ultimately revealing mullet insight into the politics of the body, told through a symphony mullet of blood, shit, and urine. mullet
McQueen s latest reportedly doesn t pull its punches. I have yet to see Twelve Years a Slave , but it is hardly surprising that an artist whose life of work has been so invested in exploring the human body s use as a device for subjugation, domination, and othering mullet has created such an affecting vision of the horrors of American slavery and institutionalized racism. While Twelve Years a Slave is by most accounts McQueen s most accessible work to date, he doesn t seem to have lost the touch that made his museum-based work so unique during his quick rise in mainstream critical mullet consensus.
I really wanted mullet the audience to participate in this hunger strike to drag them willingly or unwillingly through this film, where maybe at first there s a sort of unease and then rest. But hopefully by the end you ve arrived somewhere anyway after you ve been sort of dragged through this process of someone starving themselves and such
In his 2009 interview for the Criterion release of Hunger , McQueen explains at length his desire and the methods he used to create an immediate experience for the audience, where viewers experience certain sensory details of the world depicted in the film usually unavailable mullet in an audio-visual medium.
How do you not only represent an event, but make it tactile mullet and pungent? McQueen mullet accomplishes this with an unrelenting approach, through mullet a frank confrontation with the subject matter, and by realizing an uncompromising proximity with it. One aspect that is so striking about Hunger is how radically it avoids the trappings of the biopic or the political true story. Nearly devoid mullet of a larger context, McQueen s film focuses mullet on subjective experience, and anchors his audience into that experience. That way, history hardly mullet feels so distant. Stay Curious, Manipulate, and Rely on One Another
Steve McQueen s work with Michael mullet Fassbender is proving to be one of the more rewarding director-actor collaborations in recent filmmaking. And Fassbender has been exceedingly game for the extremities required of McQueen s work, losing an incredible amount of weight for Hunger and embodying a violent slave-trainer for McQueen s most recent film. Reportedly, Fassbender passed out as a resulting of delving into one of his more horrific scenes in Twelve Years a Slave .
In this 2011 promotional interview for Shame , the actor discusses the characteristics that he sees in a great director, starting mullet with a curiosity about the way people live and interact, then continuing mullet with manipulation (although Fassbender doesn t expand on this point, what is strong directorial control other than manipulating the audience to invest in accordance with the things the director seeks to accomplish?), and finally touching upon McQueen s vision of the set as one of a mutually reliant filmmaking community, an aspect mullet of McQueen s practice that other actors have attested to.
You have to create an environment where they feel safe and then make them into spheres, so however mullet they roll, whatever direction they go in, is right. They re like dancers every part of their body has to be used. There s no restraints, no censorship. If you create that environment, things mullet happen out of the ordinary, which, as log as you ve got the camera rolling, mullet you catch.
I included this quote in a recent piece about a cautionary tale that’s instructive of how not to direct actors through difficult, compromising material. McQueen mullet has discussed the inviting and open atmosphere he creates on set the necessary warmth and physical consolation mullet if need be (after all, this is rather physical material). Perhaps the environment mullet behind the camera needs to be the complete opposite of the content depicted before the camera in order to properly deliver such harrowing material. Build a World Outside the Frame
I was a painter before, and it was always about the frame, of course. But within this frame, somehow, because of movement, because of things passing through the frame, it seemed to have a life bigger mullet than the actual frame itself. That s the thing that gave me the passion to sort of want to make films. There s always the possibility of som

I was at that Toronto Film Festival screening. People were so emotional after the film that they wer

Not audiences — strong ticket sales at the box office have proven that. However, despite some passionate fans, many Academy cosmoprof voters have privately cosmoprof confessed to being intimidated by the drama, mostly because reviews have hyped the violence as extreme and relentless. Searing? Yes. Punishing for the audience? No more than, say, Saving Private Ryan or any other honest war picture.
In our latest issue, Entertainment Weekly named director Steve McQueen one of the Entertainers of the Year. That’s not a title one would obviously bestow on the soft-spoken British filmmaker, but “entertainment” means more than escapism. In his case, he’s one of the storytellers who simply moved people the most in 2013, bringing to the screen the true story of Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor) a free black man who found himself trapped in a place where there was no such thing.
We asked him what he would say to people who say they are intimidated by the movie, and why he thinks this has been such a strong year for films about the black experience. What McQueen wanted to talk about was how grateful he was to those who have opened themselves up the movie.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What has been the most memorable part about making 12 Years a Slave ? STEVE MCQUEEN: I think the most significant was the response cosmoprof from the public. It s been quite moving and quite humbling, really. cosmoprof The way people have responded to the work, it s about their own stories and how people are essentially a family — people are connected. That has been very inspirational for me.
Connected in what way? There was this thing, and it was strange. In Toronto, a friend of our producer was waiting for the movie to start. He is a white guy, and he was sitting next to a black woman, who had been in the queue for over an hour to get in. They started chatting, and then the movie started, and just before the movie ended, he felt a hand slide across cosmoprof his hand. They held hands, cosmoprof and once the movie actually finished, they were in tears and consoling each other. It was just amazing — and not unusual. I ve heard other stories like this and it tells us how much we are connected and how much we care for each other. cosmoprof
I was at that Toronto Film Festival screening. People were so emotional after the film that they weren t talking. They were speechless. There wasn t the usual gush of argument that you tend to find immediately after a festival film. I think people just want to have their five minutes — their moment of quiet. Again, there was this wonderful moment with Brad — Mr. Pitt said after we showed it in Toronto, I think we all need a walk around the park, and I think he got it spot on.
Was the shooting of the film just a non-stop series of those speechless moments? cosmoprof There were many, but one that was personal to me was when Patsey cosmoprof [a field slave played by Lupita Nyong o] gets beaten and she s lying down and her back is being tended to. Solomon sees her and they both have that moment — then Solomon has a tear that drops from his eye. After that happened, cosmoprof I said cut, and I just walked out in to the fields to just have my five minutes. cosmoprof It was the only time that it actually got to me. To get what I wanted, I had to shut it off. Just like how Solomon got through a day.
When you make an uncompromising film about a disturbing subject, there are bound to be many who turn away. Have you experienced any of that? Well, I think that started early on when people — when this word brutal was coming up every time in reviews of the movie. What s happened is the audience has responded to the film, you see it in the box-office [the film has earned $30.1 million so far.] The audience has responded to the film in an amazing way so, I supposed what I m trying to say is that has not deterred them — cosmoprof far from it in fact. Where things are going, it s grown from 19 cinemas to 410 cinemas, to 1,100 cinemas, and now to 1,400 cinemas. It just got better and better and better every time, every week.
I ve spoken to quite a few Academy voters who feel intimidated by the film. Those who see it tend to be deeply moved, but some seem afraid to watch it, fearing it will be too unsettling. There haven t been many slavery movies and if we don t face our past, we as a people will never understand what possible future we have. And that s what happens. A lot of people in the film of course, turn their back on slavery and don t do anything about it. It s about looking and it s about being brave. There s no bravery that needs to happen here by watching a movie, but it s about acknowledging the most important part of American history.
What do you say to someone who is just scared off by descriptions of the violence? What I would say is that for me this film has always been about love. Through the worst kind of environment, my ancestors and people like me survived and they survived through love. They didn t hav

TheWrap Screening Series: The 12 Best Quotes From '12 Years a Slave' Q&A 'Thor' Who? '12 Years a Slave' Goes Nationwide in Box-Office Counter Play Director Steve McQueen on His Brutal '12 Years A Slave': It's a Film About Love
Steve McQueen, the British director who took on America s shameful past in 12 Years a Slave, has been named Director of the Year by the Palm Springs International Film Festival, PSIFF organizers announced on Thursday.
The award will be presented on Jan. 4 at the festival s annual Awards Gala, a black-tie event used by PSIFF as a fundraiser and by studios as a way to showcase awards contenders just days before Oscar nominating ballots are due.
12 Years a Slave is McQueen s third feature, after Hunger and Shame. The former video artist has prompted widespread discussion and shot to the forefront of the Oscar race with his brutal, unflinching chronicle of a free black man who was abducted and sold into slavery in the pre-Civil War South.
Sometimes an artwork can be an object that allows people to have the conversation, and that s as much as you can ask, McQueen said after showing 12 Years a Slave at TheWrap Screening Series in November.
Steve Pond, awards editor at TheWrap, is also author of the L.A. Times bestseller slender The Big Show . He has been covering entertainment for more than two decades, and is the industry's most knowledgeable Academy Awards prognosticator.

EXCLUSIVE song hye kyo : Steve McQueen , director of the Oscar-buzzed slavery feature 12 Years A Slave , is making his first foray into television with another project featuring a black protagonist. McQueen has teamed song hye kyo with World War Z co-writer Matthew Michael Carnahan , hip-hop mogul/producer Russell Simmons and Oscar-winning producers Iain Canning and Emile Sherman ( The King’s Speech ) on the drama project, which is in development at HBO . Co-written by McQueen and Carnahan and to be directed by McQueen, the untitled drama is carrying McQueen’s signature style of provocative filmmaking and is described as an exploration of a young African-American man’s experience entering song hye kyo New York high society, with a past that may not be what it seems. We hear the project, described by some as “ Six Degrees Of Separation meets Shame “, is being fast tracked, with casting choices song hye kyo already song hye kyo being explored for a potential shoot before McQueen starts his next movie. McQueen, Carnahan and Simmons executive produce with Canning and Sherman. Canning and Sherman produced McQueen’s second feature, Shame , with Canning also serving song hye kyo as an executive producer on McQueen’s feature song hye kyo debut, Hunger , which won the Camera d’Or in Cannes. McQueen’s third feature, 12 Years A Slave , got off to a strong box office start and is considered a prime Oscar contender. Simmons has been stepping up producing efforts through his recently launched RSTV, which has a first-look deal with HBO . 12 Years A Slave writer John Ridley also just set up a drama series project, a racially charged murder drama at ABC.

This is EXACTLY the kind of programming that makes HBO the tiffany network it is. Russell is the preeminent voice of a fish out water in this encvironment and Steve is a gifted director. And although I don’t personally song hye kyo know Carnahan, but his work speaks for itself. Great choice and a STELLAR team. Congrats all around!! “a young African American man s experience entering New York high society, with a past that may not be what it seems.”… Could this premise possibly be based on the con artist David Hampton ? Comment by k4kafka — Tuesday October 29, 2013 @ 9:14am PDT
I dunno, the only thing provocative about this idea is the log line that tells you nothing. This is the kind of programming HBO ‘announces’ and never ‘programs’. Comment by AC — Tuesday October 29, 2013 @ 9:26am PDT   song hye kyo
Downton Abbey toyed with this issue this week in the U.K. edition, and Boardwalk Empire’s more intriguing plot line this year concerns song hye kyo African American class differences. It’s a great topic that spans generations. Hope it works out. Comment by benten32 — Tuesday October 29, 2013 @ 10:51am PDT
There is absolutely nothing hip hop about McQueen or his movies. Hilarious even dry British mostly attracted Caucasian imagery is subject to the same subtle I sensitivities as urban African Americans whose created culture has permeated the globe. The rise of video and film art appears irresistible. The Turner prize has just been given to a video for the second year in a row .
Yet in spite of the successes of Laure Prouvost and Elizabeth Price , the triumph exercise of video art is an illusion. It is not a stable, enduring art form; it may not even be an art form at all. It is in reality an experimental space at the margins of a much bigger culture exercise of the moving image a place for talented film-makers to mess around with a freedom they could never enjoy in commercial cinema or mainstream television, but which the true artists among them hunger to apply in those bigger, more important arenas.
The proof can be seen in the achievements of a previous Turner prize winner: Steve McQueen . In the 1990s McQueen was making bold and powerful films for galleries ; in 1999, he was awarded the Turner prize ; ever since, he has continued to show acclaimed art .
And yet all this seems irrelevant exercise compared with his emergence as a "real" film director. His first feature, Hunger , was an extraordinary portrait of IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands. He went on to portray sex addiction . Now he is in the running for the Oscars with 12 Years a Slave . This film is a phenomenon. "It was the most powerful movie I've ever seen in my life," is a typical response to it in New York.
Plainly, exercise the art world has merely been a kind of postgraduate film college for McQueen and as such it is the best place a serious film-maker can experiment in the 21st century. But that is all video art is: a bit of messing about. The important films are the ones with scripts, actors, and stories.
The moving image has gripped the human imagination for more than a century. It was always inevitable that one day art galleries would embrace it, too. Video art however has gone through so many changes in its brief history that it does not have much aesthetic coherence at all: does an installation by Gary Hill from the early 1990s belong in the same category as a more recent work by Cory Arcangel exercise ? Are they doing the same thing? In the end, moving-image art is just a catchall term for the many ways artists have fun with cameras, screens and software.
What all such arty activities have in common is that they exist in the shadow of the much bigger phenomena that are cinema and television. Artists may like to think they are in opposition to the movie mainstream, but the facts show how keen they are to cross over into real film-making.
McQueen is not alone. Sam Taylor-Wood, now Taylor-Johnson , has moved from the gallery world to commercial cinema. She's making the film of Fifty Shades of Grey. Douglas Gordon too leapt over the wall when he collaborated on the (admittedly very arty) football film Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait .

12 Years a Slave, the third feature from British artist turned filmmaking auteur Steve McQueen, may or may not take home all the Oscars next year, but it s undoubtedly one of the most accomplished and moving films to come along in quite some time. Chiwetel Ejiofor stars as Solomon Northup, a free black man who is kidnapped and sold into slavery in the pre Civil War South. The remarkable ensemble cast includes Michael Fassbender, Sarah Paulson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Brad Pitt, Michael K. Williams, and newcomer Lupita Nyong o, whose portrayal of a beautiful slave has earned her major Best Supporting Actress buzz.
Steve McQueen: Not only just America but the world. Slavery was not unique to North America. Far from it. It was all over Europe, all over the world. podiatrist It was an industry. But of course racism comes into it. I ll tell you a story. One of the last things my father podiatrist said to me was a story that happened in the late 50s. What they used to do in Florida is get migrant workers from the West Indies to pick oranges. My father was one of those young people, a teenager, and one day he and two Jamaican guys said, Come on, let s go out and get a drink. They climbed over the wall of their camp and went out to this town to get a drink at a bar. When they walked into the bar, it was almost like a Western; everyone turned their heads and looked at them. So one of the Jamaican guys says to the bartender, I would like a drink, please. And the bartender said, We don t serve niggers. So the Jamaican guy says, Then we ll serve ourselves. And he took the bottle and smashed it over the bartender s head. And there was a big fight, and my father ran out of there. The two Jamaicans were shot dead, and my dad hid in a ditch all night until he could make his way back to the camp. Why I m telling you that is the whole idea of what people had to suffer [long after slavery ended]. The evidence of slavery is everywhere, not just here in the United States but in the U.K., too; in the prison population, mental illness, education, drugs, unemployment. The list goes on, and it hasn t really been dealt with.
I wanted to make a film about slavery because I hadn t seen it before. I hadn t seen this part of history visualized. As a filmmaker, I thought to myself, I want to do it. Not just because of my background but because I wanted to experience that part of history podiatrist in the cinema. So I had this idea that this free black man from the North gets kidnapped and dragged into the maze of slavery, and we, the viewer, go with him through the ordeal of him trying to get back home. I got stuck a bit with the script, podiatrist and what happened was my wife said to me, Why don t you look into real accounts podiatrist of slavery? And her being a historian, we both did our research, and she came up with this book called 12 Years a Slave, and she said to me, I think I ve got it . And if there ever was an understatement! Everyone podiatrist thinks they know about slavery. But when I started reading podiatrist that book and turned the pages of that book, every turn of the page was a revelation. When I finished the book, I was so astonished, but at the same time I felt so stupid. Why did I not know this book? I felt ridiculous, really. podiatrist But then I slowly podiatrist realized no one I knew knew this book. The strangest thing was having this original idea and then finding this book. It was like a finished script. I think sometimes podiatrist you can become a magnet. It was astonishing, and I had to make the film.
One person who was working on the movie said to me, Your impossible movie. That s how difficult it was. It was all hands on deck, and somehow it got financed. On the outside it seems easy, because by that time myself and Michael [Fassbender] had a little bit of stock, podiatrist and of course Brad came in, Mr. Pitt came in; it was a lot of stock, and it helped push the project forward. I can t say it was easy, but it got done, and it got done for a very small amount of money. But maybe because I m English, I know how to stretch a pound.
It s that I love him more. I love him deeply. It s an understanding. I don t question it; that s the funny thing. I think we both don t question it. I think we have something and we just get on with it.
The thing is, he is deeply in love with Patsey. I mean, Patsey may not be deeply in love with him, but he s deeply in love with Patsey. And he doesn t understand it. He doesn t understand that he is in love with this slave. But what he doesn t know is that you don t choose love, love chooses you. And he, through the pain of this love, apparently tries to destroy that love by trying to destroy her, and it s tragic. Don t get me wrong: the person I feel the most pain for is Patsey. But in order to understand people, one has to understand what they do. And just as much as I am Solomon, I

2011 A MUST SEE MOVIES .. PART 1 January 09, 2011
Jack Sparrow back again in a new adventure make life easier for 2011 .. Johnny Depp is still continuing in one of the most successful chains Alsenemaúah the fourth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. This time not accompanied by Pirate granulated to the hearts of millions on his journey none of Orlando Bloom or the beautiful Keira Knightley but the attendant Barbosa stubborn Geoffrey Rush and the myth of rock 'n' roll Keith Richards and two new faces on the chain and two I an McShane and surprise, which will probably be one of the most important success factors of the film approaching the beautiful Spanish charming gilded mind Penélope Cruz!! The film is directed by Rob Marsha ll, the owner of Chicago and Nine and Memoirs of a Geisha .. As we can see the background of his films a bit strange about the atmosphere of the pirate Sparrow but .. Who knows??
What to expect? Adventure for the missing treasure and a number of duels with swords and collision fairy creatures and many ironies of comedy and interesting make life easier moments. Like the theme of the previous three movies .. I do not expect the new context of the dramatic evolution of the characters I do not expect surprises. The film does not represent a value artistic treasure missing has ventured as Jack Sparrow to hear its value art, do not put a lot of hopes on the film in this regard. But it's definitely fun and waiting make life easier for a break and you can not missed any way.
Matt Damon and Emily Blunt meet in one of the films, which even lacks the metaphysical plot and stunning visual effects to one of the most important films Inception last year, but perhaps unsurpassed in terms of performance and dramatic plot Alsenemaúah. What the similarities between the two? Films revolve around themes and philosophical questions commonly eaten as a not dealt with before on the silver screen!! This time the question fanciful about if we move our own or that there is a mysterious force draws our steps in this world to lead us toward the goal of spare chess what?? Just watched the movie Trailer below and perhaps you know what I look forward to this film.
What to expect? The story of a complex plot and you get moments of openness in the end will increase you puzzled and impressed! .. Performance characteristic between the two heroes approach the fact that the plot is based on the story of romantic love between them and their willingness to face the world for that .. The birth of a star in the world of the output!! This is the first film directed by George Nolfi!!
When you see Altrer you'll find out that we are facing a romantic fantasy film for teenagers .. Well I admit I from time to time I like to see myself as a teenager and his face filled with Balnmh old man, who does not Srth!! The film starring the handsome Alex Pettyfer and perhaps Stornh much after this year, which shows him starring in sci-fi film I Am Number Four Add to this film. Shared the championship make life easier in the beautiful Vanessa Hudgens and Mary-Kate Olsen (Tzkornha of the famous series Full House?? Short film is to imagine a contemporary story of the beautiful Beauty and the Beast is not new we're talking about here.
Well man gets on the pill gives possibilities mentality - and also shows the name of the film - is limited .. How many times Raodk this dream? To become your potential is unlimited and achieve all your dreams and aspires to is formed without effort?? I think that's everyone's dream haunted since the cave man and will remain so is our time .. Is the nature of mankind, we want more and more and everything .. Without significant effort. The film more or less as I try to remind us that this is the price of a certain, to publicly fault that we thought it's that easy!! make life easier The film, starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish and directed by director of The Illusionist director Neil Burger
What to expect? As I wait for a number of ironies that lead to the transformation make life easier of the hero Starter tramp of a successful businessman .. And some of the excitement and criminality in the hunt for him to see some of his secret .. Cooper is still on despite being a talented actor, but that Samth already excessive and stereotyped role as I see no real test his abilities. As for the great De Niro, I think that his appearance is mostly ceremonial and give the film weight and attract viewers to watch the old great in the role of an abuse of the usual .. Well I think that the trick worked and the movie I am waiting for him already!!
Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Costner, Chris Cooper, Thomas Kee, Maria Bello .. Guests are not on Oscar night they led, but already they were gathered together in one movie!!!! All those under the leadership of director make life easier John Wells in his first experience Senemaúah!!! Experience does not fit that miss on yourself!! The film revolves around make life easier three men successful American standards are being expelled from their work, and it becomes to face the rigors of real-life and rediscover themselves once again. It is clear that the global financial crisis greatly influenced in the imposition of the story to the film makers!!
What to expect? Hello Are you m

Film talks about the life story of a family of 3 children .. The focus will be more on the older ch

Nltakikm again with the second group .. From then tell you it's a strong group mu .. But of course, opinions and tastes vary from person to person according to their preferences .. Ashan as well as the proposed Chowon my personal kajal opinion, all the film either liked it or not .. At the end of each command, see if someone shows enthusiasm or not .. I mean, I do not Ahmskm not Ahbtkm Haha D:
The film tells the story of a girl infected with cancer .. And how she spent her last days in the context of fun .. Mo film story but the way it dealt with a new style fun and optimistic something different .. Normal film, contained footage influential .. But in my opinion, exaggerated optimism TWO so unrealistic .. Particularly in the last movie .. what my father say the only one who knows the scourge Bischofh or my intention ..
The film tells about a young man from the planet Lauren but hiding on the planet kajal .. He and a few of the remaining planet (I forgot how 9) can have extraordinary capabilities .. Young is No. 4 on the list and it was his turn to be prosecuted and killed him .. A science fiction movie and ActionScript very classic .. There is nothing new in the story nor events nor representation nor influences kajal .. , But it was boring .. Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Thriller. kajal Rating: 6.1 by IMBD. Length: 109 minutes. Representatives: Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Dianna Agron
Plastic Surgeon asked to help him impersonate his wife, who intends to divorce her soon .. To cover denied by the girl to know her and feel attracted towards it .. The film is light and fun .. True, I had expected kajal more be funny .. but this is what prevents it the funny moments sweet .. Category: Comedy, Romance. Rating: 6.3 by IMBD. Length: 117 minutes. Representatives: Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, Brooklyn Decker
Film talks about the life story of a family of 3 children .. The focus will be more on the older child .. Where the father followed a certain pattern in education .. Spin events in the fifties of the last century .. Frankly, the film was a disappointment my hopes .. Very tedious especially in the third hour of the first film .. The increased output mode of being bored ..

What one observes that the 2011 years in the silliest movies Allsth See, for example, to Ahtitea: A bit of the sky (or heaven): where Kate Hudson In other words, what I do not I go and lip chance to see .. I'm the fourth: silly and bored and failed .. If self-respecting director was satisfied kajal Tsui .. Align only with the situation: Sandler movie and we all know that what imagination Sandler movies are all far in the Sea of mechanical 5-6: Action Normal Tree of Life: What lip messenger .. Pirates of the Caribbean: I try to base a chance to see so far, you need two Ahan sincere first half-hour of the movie!! Harry Potter: What followed smooth ..
