Creating fully immersive storewide campaigns can help a retail brand inspire consumers and encourage traffic tattoos during a designated period.
“This Spring, we were deeply inspired by the season and the blooming tattoos transformation that occurs during this time of year,” said Mark Briggs, tattoos chief marketing officer, Saks Fifth Avenue , New York. “We married our Spring beauty and fragrance offerings with the idea of mother nature in bloom and brought our very own garden paradise to life through floral artistry in our New York windows, special events and botanical-inspired displays throughout Saks Fifth Avenue stores.
For example, tattoos Aerin s new scent Rose de Grasse will be highlighted with a display tattoos featuring white roses and verdant greens. This choice of flowers is fitting, considering tattoos Aerin Lauder s Aerin Beauty released the first perfume of its Premier Collection with a campaign emphasizing the feminine beauty of roses ( see story ).
Other displays will include brightly tattoos colored purple orchids and pink English roses. The floral theme of Glam Gardens is particularly well suited to the season and will likely inspire excitement among consumers who are eager to enjoy the change of season.
In addition to these intricate window displays, Saks Fifth Avenue will also host numerous Glam Garden themed events, including more than 250 at its New York location. Spring has sprung Saks Fifth Avenue is not the first department store chain to focus on florals for a storewide campaign this year. Both Fortnum & Mason and Harrods are participating in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London to create an immersive branded experience outside of the store.
Harrods will be hosting a conceptual Fragrance Garden, while Fortnum & Mason will be serving guests Champagne, canapés and afternoon tea from two different outdoor tattoos eating areas. Both retailers began drumming up interest among their consumers months in advance to ensure ample traffic once the show begins ( see story ).
Launched March 20, Happy 150 Printemps played off the retailer s name, which means spring in French, with floral displays, artistic window installations, tattoos in-store events and a cartoon mascot named Rose. Flowers have been a consistent theme throughout Printemps since its founding, but this campaign sought to show the innovative and creative nature of the store, rather than focusing solely on its past ( see story ).
